A new company led by EPoS specialist, Tim Van den Branden, has been launched, giving resellers access to a range of proven technologies from industry heavyweight, Zonal.
Sigma Touch Solutions, a division of Zonal, will target resellers to the retail and hospitality sectors with products including the soon-to-be-launched i700 touchscreen terminal with integrated digital signage platform and image scanner.
Unlike its parent company, which is the leading supplier of complete EPoS solutions to the UK hospitality industry, Sigma Touch Solutions will sell hardware-only packages through reseller channels in a strategy designed to attract new market segments.
Tim Van den Branden is a former managing director of EPoS hardware manufacturer, Partner Tech UK, which he headed from the company's launch in 2008.
Outlining the rationale for the launch of Sigma Touch Solutions, Van den Branden said: "The established reseller network gives us a high quality, efficient route to a new sector of the market where we know end users value the services of their local reseller.
"At the same time, our reseller partners will have access to a new range of proven products that have been developed to address real end user requirements and are being used in some of the most successful businesses in the world.
"The reseller relationships we build will also give us a way to channel some of the end user enquiries we receive from the retail and hospitality markets and allow us to provide solutions to all sizes of operation."
