Eaton is offering a ConnectUPS-X Web/SNMP card free with purchases of its highly reliable and scalable double conversion UPS's Eaton BladeUPS, 9155 and 9355, which offer power protection for virtualised and non-virtualised small to medium-size server rooms and data centres, until 31 December 2011 The card is used as a communication bridge between the UPS and Intelligent Power software, which manages up to 10 devices. Together, the UPS, ConnectUPS-X card and Intelligent Power software are ready to protect data centres from all power problems.

The BladeUPS, for decentralised power protection, is rack mounted and delivers from 12 to 60kW of redundant power in a single rack enclosure. Modular and scalable technology enables this solution to grow with customers needs and is cost-effective because they only pay for what they need, when they need it.

Additionally, the BladeUPS can be purchased as part of a data centre pre-packaged solution from Eaton, including an Eaton IT rack, BladeUPS, ePDU, connectivity card and environmental monitoring device (L, XL, XXL packages).

While the BladeUPS is the ideal solution for rack-based power protection, the single-phase 9155 or the three-phase 9355 UPS 8-40kVA are the right choices for centralised power protection. These tower UPS's provide premium online backup power and scalable battery runtimes in a very small footprint, with industry-leading power density. The systems can also grow with customers' needs.

Both UPS's can be managed and monitored with Eaton Intelligent Power software using a simple, intuitive web-based interface. This software supports leading virtualisation systems, including VMware  ESXi, vSphere 5 and vCenter,  Microsoft  Hyper-V and SCVMM, Citrix XenServer and XenCenter, as well as open-source Xen and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualisation. By plugging into Virtual Machine Manager systems, the software adds power management functions so that users can view all UPS's in the virtualised data centre within the same application, as well as network, physical server and storage information.

* Offer available in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) only
