Psion strengthens UK management team with appointment of new UK Managing Director and Sales Director

Psion PLC has appointed a new Managing Director and Sales Director for the UK business. They will be responsible for driving Psion's business and visionary Open Source Mobility (OSM) strategy in the UK and Ireland.

"The UK has, and always will be, an important market for Psion, so it's critical that we have the best leadership in place that our industry has to offer," said Fred Bismuth, Vice President of Sales in EMEA at Psion. "With these two appointments, we are taking the best from our own deep pool of expertise and also, bringing in a strategic sales expert from outside to drive the local business forward into new markets and opportunities. Both John and Andrew will be key to rebuilding trust in the new Psion in our traditional 'home' market where the brand is best known and respected."

John McMeeking is a Psion veteran with over 13 years experience inside the organization. Having previously fulfilled senior sales roles, he now has overall responsibility for the UK business, replacing Paul Westmoreland, who becomes Senior Director of OEM Sales at Psion. 

"John has a long track record of success inside Psion and I'm pleased that he has now reached this key leadership stage in his career with us. He will be instrumental in building our UK business and I have every confidence in his abilities to take all the necessary decisions to achieve sustained growth in the UK in the coming years," added Bismuth.

Andrew Donn joins Psion from senior sales and business development roles at Honeywell Scanning and Mobility as well as Jadak LLC.
