Eaton, a VMware Technology Alliance Partner, is showcasing the latest version of Intelligent Power Software at VMworld Europe 2011, taking place in Copenhagen on 18th20th October.

Eaton's Intelligent Power Software version 1.20 provides all the tools necessary for monitoring and managing UPSs and rack-based power distribution units (ePDUs) across a network. It is unbeatable in virtualised environments and was the first power management software in the industry to integrate with VMware's vCenter server virtualisation platform.

Intelligent Power Software incorporates two important applications that ensure system uptime and data integrity: Intelligent Power Manager for UPS and ePDU management and monitoring, and Intelligent Power Protector, which allows graceful shutdown of operating systems. Eaton is currently the only UPS and ePDU provider supporting all major virtualisation vendors, including VMware, Microsoft, Citrix and RedHat KVM. Intelligent Power Protector solution also supports Xen's open source solution.

Eaton will be showcasing the outstanding benefits of Intelligent Power Manager for virtualised environments through a detailed demonstration at its VMworld Europe 2011 stand.

VMworld is a global conference for virtualisation and cloud computing, hosted by VMware. It takes place twice a year, once in the US and once in Europe, and brings together thousands of IT professionals from around the world.
