ScanSource drinks to UK Partner Tour success

Colin Booth, ScanSource Europe's Director of Professional Services, said of the day: "We were very pleased with the smooth running of the event and with the high attendance levels. The layout of the main hall made it easy for VARs to talk comfortably with our vendor partners, and it was good to see both the VARs and vendors making the most of all the networking opportunities that the event presented. The breakout sessions also proved very popular. We were pleased to see a greater number of Comms customers this year; indeed this is an area we are increasingly focusing on at ScanSource Europe."
Booth added: "As a distributor we are continually striving to look for additional value adds in order to further support our resellers. You cannot afford to stand still in this industry and must continually strive to be one step ahead. For example, we are putting a lot of investment in such things as our Configuration Centre. This is proving very popular with the channel and we are already looking towards the next phase; which will involve increasing the Centre's size. We're also looking at the configuration side for our Comms business across EMEA, not just in the UK."
Booth concluded: "ScanSource Europe is continually developing new tools for VARs in order to make it easier for them not only to win extra business but also to make it easier for them to work with us as a team. The SUMO international online networking community is going extremely well, and we're also looking at other ways of helping the channel to provide the best possible solutions for their end customers."
