Box Technologies launches the Motion CL900 Rugged Tablet PC

Box Technologies, UK provider of customer interface technology solutions, has announced the availability of the new Motion CL900 rugged tablet PC.

The CL900 is an enterprise ready robust tablet PC with a flexible feature set that enables the access and utilisation of data while mobile. The tablet enables users to take advantage of connected applications, while also supporting uninterrupted productivity in remote or disconnected areas. The CL900 combines a rugged design and robust solution set with the connectivity and portability of a tablet that is designed and built for enterprise mobility within a range of business applications.



From the hospital to field service to point of sale or back office in a retail environment, the tablet will stand up to the most challenging of environments, while enabling real- time collaboration and access to information..  

Advanced durability, connectivity and mobility features are included within a device that weighs only just over 2 lbs, and is little more than inch in depth. Its battery works for up to 8 hours on one full charge, giving all-day uninterrupted productivity. An IP-52 rated exterior protects against dust, moisture and other elements and Corning(R) Gorilla(R) Glass provides added durability and scratch resistance.

Optional integrated Gobi 3000 mobile broadband with GPS, 802.11 a/b/g/n WLAN, Bluetooth 3.0, and a wireless SIM port provide a range of advanced communications protocols.

Running Microsoft Windows 7 and powered by the upcoming "Oak Trail" Intel Atom processor, the CL900 balances power, performance and battery life. The new Intel Atom processor is specifically designed for tablet PCs and mobile workflows that require a balance of productivity and battery life.

The unique design of the CL900 offers multiple optional features and connectivity ports to improve functionality for a variety of different uses. Documentation and expansion features include front and rear-facing cameras to support video conferencing, and has a full complement of ports including USB, SD Card, audio and video.

A unique countertop docking station optimises the CL900 for touch input and adds a simple and easy way to integrate peripherals, while a variety of cases and straps accommodate multiple usage patterns.
