Ingram Micro (UK) expands regional reseller events in 2011

Ingram Micro (UK), a division of Ingram Micro Inc., the global wholesaler of technology products and supply chain management services, is to expand the successful reseller forums on a regional basis during 2011.  Starting this month (February), Ingram Micro is unveiling a programme of forum events through the year which will see it take in additional locations in Cardiff, Manchester and Scotland.  "Overall, Ingram Micro will put over 1000 resellers in front of our manufacturers and key senior sales representative," says Julian Thompson, Senior Sales Director at Ingram Micro.  

The reseller forum events are traditionally a mix of training, sales and marketing presentations and run every quarter in Ascot and Newbury. The existing format will take to the road with the full support of manufacturers to a number of new locations around the country.  11 February sees the return of the reseller forum to Donington Valley hotel in Newbury, where keynote presentations will be given by Cisco and Netgear. The following month on 11 March, the forum arrives at the Etrop Grange Hotel in Manchester, with keynote presentations from Microsoft and Cisco, supported by presentations and hands-on demonstrations from 12 other key Ingram Micro manufacturers.  Thompson concludes: "This is an ideal opportunity for SME resellers across the country to interact with major and strategic manufacturers on a personal basis, as well as engaging with Ingram Micro senior staff to understand how we can help them develop their business."
