Ingram Micro (UK) expands HP Enterprise storage team

Ingram Micro (UK), a division of Ingram Micro Inc., the global wholesaler of technology products and supply chain management services, has strengthened and expanded its HP Enterprise storage team with the recruitment of John Winney as Business Development Manager.



Winney will be responsible for supporting the growth of HP Enterprise Storage products. The hiring follows recent additional investment and recruitment in the server, storage and  networking teams based in the company's Maidenhead office.
Jon Bunyard, Director of HP Enterprise Server, Storage and Networking for Ingram Micro, says: "The appointment of John Winney is key to our strategy of developing the Ingram Enterprise solutions business. John has a terrific reputation in the industry and is recognised by both customers and HP as an expert in large-size storage solutions."

Winney holds accreditations in both sales and technical presales for the HP StorageWorks XP line of Enterprise products. He joins Ingram Micro from Arrow ECS, prior to which he developed storage solutions for Hitachi Data Systems and Dell.

With extensive experience in storage solutions, Bunyard suggests that the hire complements the ongoing strategy of the Ingram Micro Enterprise business. "John is a key element to support the growth we are seeing in our HP Server, Storage and Networking business this is an area of the market where growth is accelerating, and Ingram Micro has the people and service capability to support our resellers and win them business."
