Microsoft announced as latest signing for Retail Business Technology Expo

Retail Business Technology Expo (16 17  March 2011, London's Earls Court) the new event focusing on business solutions and technology for the retail and hospitality industries, has continued the strong momentum of attracting high profile supporters to its event with the announcement that Microsoft has signed up. Microsoft will be hosting a seminar theatre and hospitality suite.

Dilip Popat, Retail Industry Principle for Microsoft said, "We're very excited to be part of the Retail Business Technology Expo.  Now more than ever, consumers are driven by the value in their shopping experiences and retailers need to think about how to deliver that improved experience or customer centricity.   Shoppers face a multitude of choices, are exceptionally well-informed and increasingly, they are adopting a digital lifestyle focused on online experiences.  This means retailers need to reduce inventory, improve in-stock availability, increase customer service, reduce labour and operational costs, while expanding to multiple channels, and they need advanced business solutions to help achieve this."

The Microsoft seminar theatre at Retail Business Technology Expo will provide a platform for retailers, vendors and industry experts to discuss key retail issues, and the solutions available. "Microsoft Dynamics retail business software is designed to handle the complex business of retail from point-of-sale to back office and through to the warehouse and the corporate office.  Key to the Microsoft Dynamics solutions is the 100% integration from POS to head office, through to supply chain providing a unique architecture on which to build a connected insight into a retail business.  Our Retail Partners who are joining us at the show bring with them a wealth of retail experience for the retail industry, across all areas." Said Michael Griffiths, Global Product Manager for Dynamics Retail.

A range of leading Microsoft partners are already signed up for the event, including K3 Retail, Maginus, Argility and Davidson Richards.
