Canon UK has launched its latest imageRUNNER ADVANCE multifunctional (MFD) colour devices. The A3 range expands the imageRUNNER ADVANCE colour portfolio, spanning entry level through to light production capability.

The latest imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2030 and C2020 series are equipped with the latest colour control technology to suit small and medium-sized workgroups in office environments. Running at 20 and 30ppm, they provide a range of options and functionality to enhance networked security, worker productivity, cost efficiency and environmental benefits.

Available in 'lite' or full versions, they provide organisations with a choice of HDD and Flash drive functions. The Flash option provides a basic imageRUNNER ADVANCE functionality that is ideal for price competitive colour printing for small and medium sized workgroups, whilst HDD supports  most functions on the award-winning imageRUNNER ADVANCE platform.

Equipped with a number of enhanced features, the new devices replace the highly successful Canon imageRUNNER C2380i and imageRUNNER C3080/i. They now provide an advanced controller, a high-quality colour TFT touch screen user interface and improved design architecture to reduce running costs and maximise uptime. The HDD version also provides full access to the latest versions of uniFLOW v5 for print control and enhanced security.

Bringing together print, copy and scan functions; one touch workflows; USB multi-media support; an internal finisher; and a 2,000 sheet paper handling capability in stock weights from 64 to 220gsm, the MFPs come with a powerful suite of features for a highly competitive entry level price.

With powerful device centric solutions, such as Security and Cost Control Pack, USB Print & Scan and iW360 document handling and productivity suite, users can create stunning looking documents, streamline working practices, improve document storage and collaborate with colleagues more effectively using both models.

Tracey Fielden, Head of Channel Marketing, Canon UK says; "The introduction of the C2030 and C2020 series means that our partners can meet the needs of all customers by providing an extended portfolio of multifunctional devices on the imageRUNNER ADVANCE platform. For SMEs, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2030 and C2020 represent a cost-effective way to deploy colour, with the platform's powerful suite of features and award-winning technology, and drive improvements in quality, efficiency, flexibility and cost control."

The A3 range provides a variety of environmental USPs, including the lowest Total Energy Consumption (TEC) and smallest footprint in its class. It also provides quick warm up and recovery times and automatic double-sided printing as standard.

Security is enhanced through the print control functions embedded in the uniFLOW controller, together with a Universal Send Security Features set. Improved reliability, e-maintenance for remote diagnostics and a choice of configuration to suit users' needs also provide a range of cost saving measures that directly benefit the user.

The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2030 and C2020 series are available from November 1, 2010.
