Allied Telesis has launched the first phase of a new partner and channel programme. The Allied Telesis Star Partner Programme provides sales support, training and tools for partners enabling them to be more successful in a highly competitive industry. It offers lead generation assistance, deal registration, and special pricing requests as well as project assistance support on Allied Telesis solutions for registered partners. Membership of the Star Partner Programme is free and available on a three-tier basis. Channel members can become Allied Telesis 1-Star, 2-Star or 3-Star Partners - with services and support tailored to each category.

"Star Partners benefit from valuable information on Allied Telesis solutions and products which enables them to better understand the competition and to offer the correct solution for their customers requirements," said Keith Hoult, Managing Director, UK & Eire at Allied Telesis. "The Star Partner Programme is an integral part of our go-to-market strategy and offers an unmatched range of materials to support sales activities."

In addition, customised sales and marketing campaigns that target identified market segments and verticals are part of the programme, combined with lead generation by the new Inside Sales team. Besides online training through webinars, the introduction of a highly innovative training method, Adventure-based Learning (starting in summer 2010) will enable partners to acquire sales and presales accreditations and certifications online.

In line with Allied Telesis' strategy, the Star Partner Program has launched across key markets in Europe and in the Americas. The Star Partner Programme is supported by the new intelligent online Allied Telesis Partner Portal, which gives channel partners 24x7 access to sales and marketing collateral, deal registration, special promotions and tools like Adventure-based Learning.

"Our new Star Partner Program takes our philosophy of channel care to the next level," said Melvyn Wray, Senior VP of Product Marketing EMEA at Allied Telesis. "The new program is easy to register and participate in and immediately offers our partners all the support they need to develop and maintain a strong customer base."
