Durrocomm has launched the Ventura Dependable Rugged Mobile Phone, claiming to be the first truly rugged phone with the capacity to run Dual Active SIM cards, enabling you to make calls with one carrier, while making calls or holding with another.

The Ventura sets a new standard for rugged phones, offering mobile communications solutions to suit any environment, in a high specification, rugged handset that is a match for many business style phones on the market.

The Ventura comes with an array of other features that will make it the rugged phone of choice, including: Touch Screen Operation for most functions, Water Resistance (to IP57), Rugged Case and GPS (for Sat Nav and worldwide recovery and rescue).

The Ventura boasts standard Bluetooth and wireless connectivity with accessories such as headsets and in-car systems, Mpeg 3 and 4 audio, a 2 mega pixel camera with auto flash and a large high quality screen. The Ventura is a convenient size with a chunky keypad, making it ideal whilst wearing gloves; the long battery life benefits places without a power source.

Ideal for use in the building and heavy industry sectors where broken phones are commonplace, the Ventura Rugged Mobile will also appeal to business and leisure travellers where the Dual Active SIM can run two networks or mobile accounts simultaneously. Durrocomm is also working with third party application suppliers to help lone workers or travellers to keep in touch.

Durrocomm is a new name to many but has been supplying basic rugged mobiles for more than a year, preparing the market for the major product launch of their Rugged product portfolio. Durrocomm continues to develop new lines and intends to launch several rugged mobile products in the future.
