Document management software company DocuLex has releasd its Archive Studio component Goby Capture V5.1, facilitating automated document imaging, knowledge management and workflow collaboration.
New features are designed for saving organizations time and valuable resources with the automation of document processing and field specific indexing based upon newly implemented technologies in text recognition. Added to the labor savings, is DocuLexs environmentally friendly new method of detecting individual documents, within a stack of scanned paper, without the need for an extra document break cover page.
Goby offers ODBC connection to line-of-business applications for pulling existing meta data from an organizations existing database. Custom XML recognition is added for use with third party MFP touch panel devices and network scanner applications. Goby has implemented the use of workflow status codes, auto notification and the ability to route documents to targeted WebSearch users. Additionally, a new smart installer will be used for ease of implementing the programs periodic updates. Additionally, threads that create PDFs now have the option of including user designated static fields and values on the PDF Settings dialog.
