DocuWare AG created a new department to drive the development of web-based solutions for Document Management. One million euros will be flowing into new web technologies and applications until the end of 2011.
During the executive team and board of directors last meeting of 2009, the Document Management Specialist decided to further reinforce the importance of web-based developments by creating a special department dedicated to this field. As part of this initiative, the company will increase its innovation budget over the next couple of years by a total of one million euros.
DocuWare has always focused its development energy on technical innovations that will be immediately beneficial to users of their software solutions. In order to remain on the forefront of new technology, DocuWares quality management is constantly and broadly testing its DMS on the basis of various Microsoft platforms, such as Windows Server, SQL Server, Office and SharePoint. This will continue on into the future, as the DMS pioneer makes certain that its document management software fully supports the newest versions of Microsoft products.
According to DocuWare co-president Juergen Biffar, Browser technology is a crucial part of the future. Users who install DocuWare solutions on their own servers will profit from the further simplification of its administration as well as those who opt for our new SaaS applications. In order to offer the same or an even better user experience with traditional technology and to further expand into new application areas, new innovations must be in constant supply.
