Canon UK has announced that the i-SENSYS MF9170 has won the Buyers Laboratory Inc, (BLI) Pick of the Year award in the Outstanding Small Workgroup Colour Multifunction Printer category.
The fast, 21ppm colour multifunctional i-SENSYS MF9170, which is designed for corporate and business workgroup use, combines high quality automatic double-sided printing, copying, scanning and faxing and was commended for its reliability, overall ease of use and high image quality. It inherits many of the advance colour imaging technologies found in Canons high-end imaging devices which deliver superb colour images and graphics, sharp fine text as well as unrivalled colour consistency and accuracy. The i-SENSYS MF9170 also features Canons SEND functionality which allows users to scan colour documents directly to email, network server (SMB and FTP), or to USB memory key.
The influential awards give potential buyers the confidence that they are purchasing the best product in its category or class. BLI gives special recognition only twice a year to those products which provide the most outstanding performance in their exhaustive two month lab tests. This comprehensive evaluation involves testing the product across many aspects including reliability, image quality, performance, productivity, ease of use, drivers, bundled software and cost of running.
In addition to its flawless reliability test performance, we were impressed by the wealth of ease-of-use features that Canon has added to the product such as the new swivel mounted 3.5 inch colour TFT screen, a scroll wheel for fast data entry, two host USB ports for printing and scanning and SD card printing capability, said David Sweetnam, BLI European Lab and Research Manager.
BLI also awarded Canon with "Highly Recommended" ratings for a further nine i-SENSYS products.
