Code Red has now formally confirmed its distribution status with Opticon.

Code Red Distribution has announced that from February 2009, they will be full distributors of the Opticon range of scanners and mobile data collection systems.

Opticon is a worldwide family of companies consisting of Optoelectronics Co., Ltd, Opticon Sensors Europe BV, and Opticon Inc. Optoelectronics Co., Ltd, incorporated in 1976, was one of the first companies in the world to specialize in the manufacture of barcode scanners. Since that time, this pioneering organization has evolved into a multi-faceted, international supplier of high-quality, automatic identification equipment to thousands of customers in diverse markets. Manufacture of products is managed through Optoelectronics Co., Ltd and utilizes a major, ISO-certified production facility located in Ashibetsu.

Located in the Netherlands, Opticon Sensors Europe BV is the head office for the European operations of Optoelectronics Co., Ltd which serves markets in Europe, South America, Africa, Australia and Asia. Branch organizations are located in Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Sweden, Spain, Taiwan and Australia along with trading agents in China.

Many in the industry will already be familiar with the Opticon range of products. From low cost CCD scanners such as the OPR4001 to industrial cordless scanners such as the OPR3101 - offering users a remarkably durable cordless scanner at an affordable price - to leading edge hand held terminals like the new H15, Opticon really do have a product for every application at a price for every pocket.

Code Red has been supplying Opticon product for a number of years but has now formally confirmed its distribution status. For customers, this means a wider range of product stocked at a much lower price, greater access to demonstration and evaluation kit, marketing funds and assistance where required and even accompanied field visits to customers sites as and when required.
