Extreme Networks launches new channel initiative In The UK

Extreme Networks has initiated a recruitment drive to attract new channel partners and is looking to recruit 15 extra resellers by the end of the year. This latest initiative is part of the companys ongoing campaign to grow positive working relationships in the market.

The new Channel Programme, which provides existing and new partners with more opportunities to earn investment funds, training vouchers and a range of other benefits, was created by Extreme Networks to grow its partners success.  It is points-based and was designed to be flexible: allowing for the evolvement of new products and the chance to capitalise on emerging market opportunities, whilst maintaining a balance for partners between the rewards they receive and the investments they need to make.

We want to encourage more partners to join the Extreme Networks family and deliver real value to customers, explains Extreme Networks Channel Director, Stephen Jamieson. Customers want to do more with less these days, so it is important that resellers are in a position to offer strong solutions that are able to meet these demanding requirements.  Unlike other vendors, we have no wish to over distribute our products as we want to ensure that our partners enjoy the best margins available.

Joining Extreme Networks as Northern Channel Manager from Cisco, Stewart Main will be heading up the recruitment drive in the north of the UK. Stewarts role whilst providing much needed support for existing Partners, will be focussed on the recruitment and development of new Extreme Networks Resellers and also includes a responsibility to manage and develop new and existing end user accounts.

It is clear that our partners drive the success of Extreme Networks in the UK, says Main. With the new flexible approach of our Channel Programme, these partners can achieve their own targets easily, while receiving substantially improved benefits. We believe this will drive our mutual success in the high-performance networking marketplace.

One of Extreme Networks Platinum Partners, Data Integration has enjoyed the new programme and applauds the structured approach that Extreme Networks has adopted. We have been pleased about the changes in the channel programme, says Data Integration Managing Director, Garath Lauder. There are now more stringent requirements that must be met, which provides better differentiation between the different levels of partners, and properly reflects the large investment we make in training, to achieve in-depth product knowledge and support expertise.
