AIM Global Taps Industry Expert to Lead Organization into the Future

AIM Global, the industry association recognized as the worldwide authority on automatic identification and mobility, today announced the election of Clive Hohberger, Vice President, Technology Development of Zebra Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ: ZBRA), as the new chairman of the board of directors. Dr. Hohberger succeeds Mr. Jim Childress of LXE, Inc.

As chairman, Hohberger and the AIM Global board of directors provide the Association with the leadership, guidance, and direction to successfully fulfill its mission of:

Advocating on behalf of its members on policy matters and standards affecting the automatic identification and mobility industry;
Educating by providing timely, unbiased and commercial-free news and information to its members, the news media, policy makers, and current and potential customers of automatic identification and mobility technologies; and
Accelerating the adoption and use of data capture and mobility technology.
"As chairman, my goal is to expand AIM Global beyond its membership-driven model by being more relevant in the lives of our members and the industry," said Hohberger. "I will continue working to grow AIM Global's reputation as a technology thought leader and the 'go to' organization in the industry."

"Clive has been a visionary for the industry over many years," stated outgoing chairman, Jim Childress. "As Chairman, he is superbly qualified to lead the AIM Global organization into new areas of opportunity."

Dr. Hohberger is Vice President, Technology Development for Zebra Technologies Corporation. He is a charter member of the AIDC 100 industry honorary society and winner of the 1999 AIM Global Richard E. Dilling Award for lifetime contribution to the industry.
