Intermec honours top EMEA partners of 2007

Intermec recently announced the winners of its 2007 EMEA Partner Awards at its annual Intermec Global Sales Summit.

At the same event, Intermec also clarified its commitment to partners with a renewed, stronger focus on the channel with plans to drive 70% of its business through the partner channel in 2008.

For over 40 years Intermec and our growing community of global partners have been sharply focused on providing our customers with the tools and technology to identify, manage and optimize their critical assets, said Gary Jones, vice president global channels. Our Partner award winners for 2007 reflect the very best of our Intermec Honours Partner Program, and we applaud their success.

For Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), IDSYS from Spain was named the winner of the Partner of the Year Award after recording 44% sales growth over the last year.

Other organizations clinching awards in the EMEA region were Jade (United Kingdom) who won the Outstanding Account Win category while the title of Intermec Technology Innovator of the Year went to Data Capture Systems from Dubai due to their many successful RFID projects throughout the Middle East. Finally, German-based B&M secured the New Market Innovator award recognizing their solutions sales approach.
