Stonesofts IPS-6100 and FW-5100 to increase flexibility to network security

Stonesofts clustering technology to enhance security for managed service providers and large organisations

Stonesoft, an innovative provider of integrated network security and business continuity solutions, introduces its StoneGate security solution for high capacity networks. StoneGate IPS-6100 and FW-5100 appliances offer managed service providers (MSPs) and large organisations high performance and flexibility. With the innovative, easily insertable clustering functionalities, organisations can easily increase their network security capacity while protecting existing investments.

MSPs and large organisations are facing the continuing and rapidly growing demand for more network capacity and performance. In order to meet the increasing capacity requirements whilst remaining cost-efficient, organisations need network infrastructures to be more flexible than ever before. StoneGate IPS-6100 and FW-5100 provide robust layered security, high availability and unrivalled flexibility for demanding high capacity network environments. The easily insertable clustering technologies allow organisations to add new appliances and capacity to the security cluster. Extending investment lifetime and reuse of existing appliances brings significant cost savings and improved sustainability.

We are familiar with the industry requirements and challenges MSPs and enterprises struggle with to remain competitive and secure their information flow. Our new StoneGate IPS-6100 and FW-5100 have been designed to help them meet high capacity requirements with unrivalled flexibility and cost-efficiency, said Katriina Maanoja, product marketing manager at Stonesoft. MSPs and large enterprises need to have flexible networks that scale as their capacity demands grow and allow them to protect their investments. With our easily insertable clustering technology, they can flexibly expand their capacity and reuse existing solutions, without the need for costly investments or complicated configurations.

The new StoneGate IPS-6100 intrusion detection system offers enterprise level inspection for demanding high capacity environments. With 4 Gbit/s throughput, separate sensor and analyser components and highly available inline serial clusters, the solution is optimised for the needs of MSPs and large organisations.

The StoneGate FW-5100 provides high performance in perimeter defense. As 10 Gbit/s optical technologies become more common even in server and storage applications, StoneGate FW-5100 provides an optimised solution with 10 Gbit/s throughput and a 10 Gbit/s optical interface.

Both StoneGate IPS-6100 and StoneGate FW-5100 can be managed with StoneGate Management Center, providing enhanced ease of use and a comprehensive view over network security.
