ONI joins Exterity channel programme to complete its triple-play offering

Integrated network solutions provider, ONI has joined Exteritys Authorised Systems Integrator Channel Programme.

Under the terms of the programme, ONI will distribute Exteritys IPTV encoders and decoders which deliver broadcast standard TV and multi-media content via IP.  The solution, which will compliment ONIs Cisco-based voice and data products, will enable the integrator to deliver complete Triple Play services.  Working together the two companies plan to primarily target the banking and finance industry.

Exteritys IPTV gateway encoder and decoder products enable an organisation of any size to make the most of their existing IP network by utilising unused bandwidth to deliver broadcast standard TV and multimedia content to any end point.  Exteritys complete range of IPTV products are fully interoperable with Cisco's voice and data platforms and can be deployed as a complete Triple Play offering or as a standalone solution.

More and more companies, particularly within the banking and finance industries are realising the benefits of streaming video and other multi-media content across their existing IP infrastructure and want to deploy complete Triple Play services. commented Mark Collins, Managing Director, ONI.  By joining Exteritys channel programme, we can give our new and existing customers access to an easy to use network IPTV solution that compliments their existing Cisco-based communication system.

To address the growing demand from the banking and finance industry, ONI has opened a City-based office to act as a showcase and support mechanism for the companys Triple Play offering.  Exterity will work closely with the ONI team to promote the use of network IPTV for businesses in the area.

By easily interoperating with all Cisco products and applications, we can ensure that our solutions have a wide appeal and will be particularly relevant to Cisco Gold and Silver partners, commented Colin Farquhar, CEO, Exterity.  Adding our network IPTV products to their portfolio gives ONI a fantastic opportunity to return to existing clients, offering them a solution that can simply bolt on to their existing network.  Equally, they can identify opportunities in new markets to generate additional revenue.

Exterity will work closely with ONI, providing comprehensive product training on an ongoing basis as well as accreditation and joint marketing.  Furthermore, Exterity has also appointed a sales manager to the account to ensure that ONIs sales team is continually supported in end-user meetings and installations.
