The UKs biggest retail technology exhibition and conference, Retail Solutions begins on June 5 and runs for three days at Birminghams NEC.
The big attraction this year is Store of the Future, in association with Fujitsu, and is an interactive insight dedicated to improving the customer experience and looks into the way we will be shopping over the next ten years.
This purpose-built showpiece facility features a series of live future retail areas, where visitors will be able to shop for food, clothes and consumer electronics products. The sales process will be supported with various new and future technologies to improve customer service.
Top retailers will also be speaking at the event, including senior IT professionals from Alliance Pharmacy, McDonalds, Tesco, InStore and Dixons, who will be speaking about how they have utilised technology to grow their business. The Retail Solutions seminars are always popular and well attended by the industry, and in past years have proved one of the largest visitor draws.
This year Retail Solutions will feature more networking. For the first time, Retail Solutions will be hosting the IT30, an exclusive networking event for senior IT directors from the UKs leading retailers. There is also a cocktail evening, providing visitors with the chance to mingle and network with the whos who in the retail, leisure and hospitality industries. And on June 6, retailers and vendors gather at the Birmingham Metropole to applaud the winners of this years European Retail Solutions Awards, with Visa as the headline sponsor.
The shortlist for the European Retail Solutions Awards 2007 highlights the outstanding contribution technology has made at top retail names that include Mothercare, Costa Coffee, Tesco, Vodaphone, Harvey Nichols, Lakeland and Woolworths.
The awards, now in their seventh year, are held on the second night of the Retail Solutions exhibition at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole. Europes best-known retailers and their IT solutions providers will come together at a gala dinner and awards ceremony, hosted by Retail Solutions.
