New Xerox Partner Avanquest, provider of business solutions to the enterprise, has successfully deployed its first joint solution at Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, implementing RightFax with Xerox MFDs.

The implementation of the IT solution at Barnsley MBC, which electronically processes all faxes, printing and copying was precipitated by a move to brand new office premises within Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

Leading by example, the council has responded to Government environmental initiatives by demonstrating a greener way of processing documents, thus eliminating the need for fax machines within the organisation and the paper they use, saving energy and ultimately our trees.

Avanquest UK, based in Winchester, Hampshire run an ongoing scheme in conjunction with the Woodland Trust to plant trees in a Hampshire Woodland for every successful RightFax MFD implementation. The Barnsley roll-out means another 20 native trees have been planted trees that will grow up to clean the air, reduce temperatures and counteract pollutants.

The partnership with Xerox offers new business opportunities, which will enable both organisations to leverage the power and flexibility of Avanquests software solutions with Xerox technologies, channels, and document knowledge, delivering end-to-end solutions for clients with the benefits of cost reductions and improved operational efficiencies.

As a Xerox partner, Avanquest will be able to deliver a Captaris RightFax enterprise faxing and document delivery solution which will integrate with and extend the functionality of Xerox products and services.

Colin Sutton, XAS Solutions Marketing Manager at Xerox comments "Avanquest recently attended their first Xerox Partner Forum and have already demonstrated their value as a proactive partner, in both marketing and lead generation. We look forward to working together to develop new routes to market and growing sales."

Captaris RightFax forms a major part of Avanquests Corporate Solutions portfolio, integrating with core business applications to automate the flow of faxes, paper, electronic documents and data, reducing costs and improving productivity across the enterprise.

The latest version 9.3 coupled with the Captaris RightFax MFP module delivers enhanced integration for Xerox multi function products (MFPs), allowing users to extend enterprise fax and document delivery features. This enables organisations of any size to quickly integrate advanced network faxing and document delivery capabilities with the same devices used daily for printing, scanning and copying.

Organisations can operate an energy saving and greener document management solution (saving electricity and paper), whilst delivering significant enhancements in enterprise performance, scalability and user administration, with faster document delivery speeds, better support for disaster recovery scenarios, and an updated web access client.

Chris Thompson, Managing Director, Avanquest UK comments We have been selling Captaris RightFax software successfully for 15 years as part of our portfolio of business solutions - we understand our clients need to remain competitive and deliver greater efficiency, whilst complying with an ever-increasing range of standards, legal requirements and environmental initiatives. Partnering with Xerox will enhance our deliverables to clients, enhance our credibility and reinforce our position in the fax delivery and workflow market place.
