RSA Integrates Network Intelligence Solution into RSA SecurWorld Partner Program

RSA and Network Intelligence channel partners worldwide to benefit from increased opportunity to deliver holistic information-centric security

RSA, The Security Division of EMC, has announced that solutions from its Network Intelligence business unit, including RSA enVision technology, are now available through RSAs SecurWorld Partner Programme. Existing Network Intelligence and RSA channel partners are now able to purchase the RSA enVision solution through authorised RSA distributors worldwide, resulting in increased opportunities to offer businesses a more comprehensive security solution.

A key player in the security information and event management (SIEM) market, RSA is recognised as a market leader in transforming enterprise-wide data into compliance and security information. The core enVision technology is built on the only architecture proven to collect and protect all the data efficiently that drives customers businesses.

Enhancements and entry to the programme:

All Network Intelligence channel partners have been invited to join the RSA SecurWorld programme, and are able to purchase through existing RSA authorised distributors. In all countries except the UK, Network Intelligence had operated a one-tier channel model, with all partners holding direct contracts with the vendor. Network Intelligence partner categories have been converted into the corresponding RSA SecurWorld category, with entry levels dependent upon prior levels of training and accreditations received. Channel partners who had achieved Platinum status with Network Intelligence will not have to re-certify as part of the integration, but will need to fulfil the requirements of the RSA SecurWorld program in order to maintain their status going forward.

By joining the RSA SecurWorld Program, Network Intelligence partners will benefit from deal registration, access to the RSA SecurWorld Partner Portal, instant rebates and other rewards and incentives offered to RSA channel partners.

Network Intelligence partners will also have the opportunity to attain the accreditations required to sell RSAs portfolio of other security offerings. In addition, existing RSA SecurWorld partners will be able to earn sales and technical authorizations for Network Intelligence solutions.

Integrating the enVision solution and Network Intelligence channel partners into RSA SecurWorld is a key part of the creation of a security division capable of delivering more complete security solutions to all businesses - from SMBs right through to large enterprises, said Jo Pettifer, RSA SecurWorld Manager, RSA. RSA and Network Intelligence channel partners all stand to benefit from being able to offer security solutions that allow companies to assess risk, secure people, data and infrastructure, and achieve compliance. enVision technology is a strong SIEM solution that fully complements the identity and access management solutions available from RSA. Were confident that this will help enable all of our channel partners to address new areas of their customers businesses and profit from cross and up-sell opportunities.

RSA expects Network Intelligence channel partners to have transitioned over to the RSA SecurWorld Partner Program by the end of Q1 2007. Both RSA and Network Intelligence channel partners have received online sales training, and have been able to order the enVision solution and participate in deal registration since the beginning of January 2007. RSA will offer technical certification for Network Intelligence offerings beginning in April 2007, and expects to have completed the transition process by the end of Q2 2007.

The Network Intelligence business unit was recently named a leader in enterprise security information management by Forrester Research, an independent technology and market research company, in The Forrester Wave:  Enterprise Security Information Management, Q4 2006 (December 2006) report. Network Intelligence was singled out for its all-around competence across different security information management (SIM) functions and earned best marks for a current offering among the evaluated vendors.

In addition, the business unit is positioned in the Leaders Quadrant in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Security Information and Event Management 1H06, published in 2006. According to Gartner, Leaders are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market.
