DISTRIBUTOR PRESENCE STRENGTHENED WITH AVNET TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS
Avnet Technology Solutions to add value by selling and marketing all 3ware products and providing comprehensive regional technical support
Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (AMCC) announces the expansion of its Storage division's presence in Europe by broadening its distribution network with the addition of AVNET Technology Solutions, a division of Avnet Inc. - the world's largest B2B distributor of electronic components, enterprise computing products and embedded technology. Avnet will market and distribute AMCCs entire line of award winning 3ware SATA II RAID controllers as well as the 3ware Sidecar throughout Europe.
Avnet will market to specific customer segments including value-added resellers (VARs), sub-distributors, system builders and assemblers via dedicated sales efforts. Avnets European solutions division engineers will integrate 3ware products into servers and storage appliances. Avnets integration services build systems with only the most trusted name-brand components and fully validate customers solutions from start to finish.

AMCCs 3ware RAID controllers provide superior reliability, scalability and performance that enable enterprise-class SATA RAID solutions for mid-level and high-end computing applications. The 3ware product line represents the broadest line of SATA II RAID controllers available which include port counts ranging from 2- to 24-ports. The agreement also includes the 3ware Sidecar, an external RAID storage solution for the Mac market now and the PC market in Q1 2007.
