Partnership Enables UK Enterprises to Integrate Fine-grained Network Access Control into Existing Networks for Heightened Security & Compliance
Applied Identity, a developer of identity-based network access control solutions, has announced the formation of a distribution partnership with UK-based Brookcourt Solutions, a leading provider of state-of-the-art secure networking solutions.
Brookcourt chose to partner with Applied Identity (AI) as a result of the companys unique and proven ability to enhance security within an organization by enabling enterprises to monitor and control -- by individual identity -- who can see and access valuable data and applications that reside on the network. This ability to identify and control in-network users also has practical applications for mitigating insider fraud, segmenting offshore worker access and securing mobile device networks. Moreover, Applied Identity's ability to record and report on individual user activity on the network provides companies with a valuable tool for internal auditing as well as regulatory compliance.
The main driver behind Brookcourt's partnership with AI is the increasing requirement of its customers for robust solutions that are post-authentication, or after a user has already been authorized into a network. Applied Identity's solutions allow organizations to monitor and track employees, contractors, remote access workers, partners -- anyone who has the ability to get authenticated into the network.
Brookcourt is offering AIs IdentiforceTM solutions initially for four primary applications, including: the control of mobile network access; the increased control of remote and contracted user access; the protection of high value assets such as confidential corporate data; and compliance with internal and external auditing requirements such as Market Abuse Directive (MAD) regulations governing EU public companies, and Sarbanes-Oxley or SOX requirements for US companies. In addition, Brookcourt customers using Applied Identity's products will see reductions in operational costs through the utilization of less network infrastructure, and in the implementation of policy in a single centralized location on the network.
