Laserfiche, a provider of premier document management software solutions, has announced that it has certified the Kodak ScanStation 100 for use with Laserfiche 7.2 and the entire suite of Laserfiche document management products. The combined functionality of Laserfiche and ScanStation 100 technologies allows organizations to securely and efficiently scan, store and search large volumes of documents in a network environment.

The Kodak ScanStation 100 is an office walkup network scanner that quickly and easily turns paper documents into digital files with the touch of a button for simultaneous sharing via email, storing on the network, routing to networked printers and copiers, and saving on portable USB drives all without using a computer. It connects to existing network infrastructure and features intuitive and interactive operations, including image preview of scanned images prior to sharing from a full-color, easy-to-use, touch screen. The ScanStation 100 was recognized for its innovation with the "Best of Show" award from a field of more than 200 products at FOSE, the premier government technology tradeshow in March of 2006 in Washington, D.C. A working ScanStation 100 was displayed at the Laserfiche booth at the ARMA records management tradeshow earlier this year.

Laserfiches certification of the ScanStation 100 ensures that the device seamlessly integrates with Laserfiche document management installations. Documents scanned using the ScanStation 100 can be directly imported into secure Laserfiche repositories and routed through specified business workflows. All documents are stored in a non-propriety format and are fully searchable for instant retrieval using Laserfiches advanced search capabilities. Laserfiche Web Link and Web Access utilities allow documents to be accessed and searched by authorized individuals from virtually anywhere in the world.

The Kodak ScanStation 100s comprehensive all-in-one design allows our customers to quickly and easily digitize large numbers of documents on their networks, says John Gerry, Kodak ISV Business Development Manager. By combining the ScanStation 100 with Laserfiche document management software, organizations benefit from the added functionality of storing, searching for and managing their documents in a flexible, secure and user friendly environment.

This certification allows us to bring our customers the functionality of a top-tier scanning device to complement their Laserfiche document management systems, says Brian LaPointe, Director of Strategic Solutions at Laserfiche. Both Laserfiche and Kodak are committed to the document management market, and we are excited to work with Kodak on more joint efforts in the future.

In April, Laserfiche was honored with the first-ever Independent Software Vendor Award for Innovative Co-marketing and Co-selling by Kodak. Laserfiche was cited for proactively engaging Kodak in joint activity at trade shows and through Webinars, recommending and selling Kodak distributed capture products, and for bringing multiple-unit sales across North and South America to Kodak.
