Canon supports its channel partners by offering  up to 800 rebate for existing  Large Format Printers (LFP), exchanged for its new printers the imagePROGRAF iPF600 and iPF700.

Canon UK, world-leader in imaging technology solutions, today announced a new promotion aimed at customers predominantly in the CAD industry, through the Canon Partner Channel in order to help them share the cost of upgrading to new technology.   Selected resellers can offer up to 800 towards brand new Canon printers in the CAD/ GIS range, when customers wish to trade in healthy old LFP, regardless of manufacturer.

Through this initiative, Canon is supporting partner profitability by driving sales of its LFP range, particularly in the CAD and GIS markets, where printer modernisation is advantageous.   Canons imagePROGRAF iPF600 and iPF700 ensure smooth colour shading, high-definition expression, accuracy and image sharpness due to its FINE technology and 4-pl (picolitre) ink droplets.  Moreover, 1200dpi rendering reproduces fine lines and small characters without distortion whilst achieving prints from as little as 67p for an A2 or 1.57 for an AO, which includes all consumable and media costs to produce the print.  With two types of black ink photo black and matte black (MBK) the range of media that each device can print onto is extended and includes glossy and matte paper.

The trade-in initiative will support our channel partners by helping incentivise the sales of new printers and enabling them to grow in a rapidly expanding market.  Canons large format portfolio is developing and strengthening and we hope that this scheme will encourage customers to experience the true versatility and quality of our printers.  After all, our large format printers are not simply for printing plans and maps but also presentations, so there is no need to purchase two printers.

Canon has gone from strength to strength in the LFP market place, nearly doubling our market share in the first half 2006[1].  We are committed to the LFP industry and we wanted to support our customers needs for innovation and return on investment by making the purchase of our cutting-edge LFPs a viable business opportunity. commented Geoff Slaughter, Director Canon Partner Channel, Canon UK.
