Casio today announced the release of two new options to further enhance operation of the rugged IT-600 terminal.

The trigger grip option is designed for environments where the IT-600 will be used for heavy scanning, such as retail stores and goods in/ out area. It is ergonomically designed and attaches to the back of the IT-600 giving the user a trigger button that can be used to scan an item.

The Ethernet cradle allows an unlimited* number of IT-600's to be docked directly into the enterprises computer network. This allows the data to be easily accessed from any point on the network.

The Casio IT-600 was released in January 2006. It is a lightweight, rugged PDA with an integrated high-speed laser scanner, Bluetooth version 1.2, optional 1 megapixel digital camera and optional WLAN. Drop resistant to 1.2 metres onto concrete and with water and dust resistance to IP54 level, it is designed for challenging business environments such as retail store management, parking enforcement and service management.

The Casio IT-600 series is available immediately in the UK and Eire. Visit www.casio.co.uk/mobile for more information.

*Network capabilities may restrict the number of IT-600's that can be connected to the computer network.
