Leading AIDC and mobile computing distributor, Blackroc Distribution, has announced that it is launching an annual trade show dedicated to companies operating within the AIDC (Automatic Identification and Data Capture) channel.

The AIDC Channel Show is the first show of its kind for VARs, systems integrators and solution providers that is exclusively focused on barcode, data capture and rugged mobile computing.

The trade show will run over two days, taking place on 25th and 26th July 2006 at Blackrocs brand new HQ and conference centre in Stafford, which has plenty of free car parking. Food and beverages will be available all day.

Attendees to the show can expect to meet with many of the major manufacturers all under one roof, giving them the opportunity to see all the latest products and ask questions of the sales and technical experts.  Entrance to the show is free but attendees do need to register online in advance.

The event has been well received by the major manufacturers within the industry with many signing up for space straight away.  The current list of hardware exhibitors includes Intermec, Datalogic, Psion Teklogix, Zebra, Hand Held Products. There will also be added value software products from B2M Solutions and Trakware.

Martyn Broadhead (pictured), Managing Director for Blackroc Distribution comments There have been a number of seminar based events for channel partners in this industry but there has never been a dedicated exhibition that allows visitors to browse the stands of all the leading suppliers at one event without being subjected to death by Powerpoint or a vertical market biase. The whole idea is that we adopt a no-nonsense approach whereby resellers can go straight to a product, pick it up and start asking questions of the manufacturer directly, then move on to an adjacent stand and do the same again and again.. Blackroc Distribution is constantly looking for ways to be innovative and to add more value to the AIDC channel and we feel that launching an annual AIDC channel exhibition will enable us to do both.
