The Xerox DocuMate 152, released in Europe today, is the first and only document scanner that enables users to scan, store and locate any file, e-mail message, attachment or scanned document instantly.
The Xerox DocuMate 152 is a small, easy-to-use, colour sheetfed scanner designed for desktop use and allows people to scan double-sided documents at speeds up to 30 images per minute. Bundled software includes X1 Technologies Enterprise Desktop Search, ScanSoft PaperPort 10, OmniPage Pro OCR, NewSoft Presto! BizCard, Visioneer OneTouch and an advanced TWAIN driver.
X1 brings advanced search capabilities to the desktop for files, emails and documents. Users can instantly find any document, e-mail, attachment or contact and preview or take action on the results all within the X1 award-winning user interface. Since the DocuMate 152 enables scanning to searchable PDF, even scanned documents are instantly searchable by content.
Visioneer OneTouch technology eliminates multiple steps in sending scanned documents to predetermined applications or devices and provides unmatched ease-of-use in the desktop scanner category. Visioneer OneTouch technology allows users to easily set the destination of their scanned documents by pressing a button and selecting one of nine pre-programmed (or user-customisable) scan settings. Destination examples include scan to searchable PDF, scan to e-mail, scan to print, scan to archive, scan to network, and scan to OCR. In addition to the pre-programmed scan-to destinations, custom links are also available so users can scan directly to legal and accounting applications, such as case management software, eRoom or Microsoft SharePoint, all at the touch of a button.
