Anglian Water Safeguards its Documents with EASY SOFTWARE

EASY automates Anglian Waters HR department files and documents

EASY SOFTWARE UK, Europes foremost supplier of integrated document management, workflow and archive solutions, today announced that Anglian Water, the largest water company in England and Wales, serving more than 2.6 Million properties across East Anglia and the East Midlands, has selected EASYs document management solutions to safeguard its HR documents now and in the future.
 
The Anglian Water HR department faced rising concerns regarding how it could protect its paper documents in the case of a disaster.  Whether flood, fire or any other form of loss, Anglian Water needed to put a contingency plan in place to move its documents from paper to electronic storage, and benefit from the resulting speed of retrieval and reduced filing resource that this would deliver.  Richard Norton is Anglian Waters HR Services Manager and spearheaded the campaign to find a suitable document management system and supplier to manage the departments HR and Payroll documents.

The savings that can be made by storing documents electronically are well documented.  At Anglian Water, temporary staff was employed during busy periods for filing and this raised not only cost issues but also concerns around scanning and filing accuracy.  EASY partnered with Sydoc, who provided a scanning bureau service to capture the backlog of HR files and documents, and the 3,500 documents are now indexed, stored remotely in EASYs document management suite and ready for use.
