Businesses throughout Europe are steadily recognising the importance of efficient e-mail management systems, and identifying e-mail security and archiving as major parts of their IT and data storage strategies. With a large proportion of business now transacted only by e-mail, critical business information is often held only in users personal mail files (.pst files) making it prone to deletion or loss.

In the UK and across Europe, businesses are increasingly required to be compliant with legal regulations for tax audits, data protection and other risk assessments. Implementing effective IT systems for compliance with European regulations is a particular problem for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) that do not have the IT infrastructure of larger organisations.

Responding to this clear market need, REDDOXX has introduced its newly developed REDDOXX MailDepot, a fully-integrated e-mail archiving, anti-spam and anti-virus appliance. Designed specifically for businesses with limited IT resources, but with the capacity to manage up to 750 individual users, the REDDOXX MailDepot product offers SMEs a cost-efficient and user-friendly solution to meet all their data storage needs, complete with an integrated, patented anti-spam functionality for added security. REDDOXX is in the process of setting up a network of partners for European distribution.

As a start-up European e-mail management solutions company, REDDOXX differs from most vendors looking to develop channel networks in Europe. REDDOXX, MailDepot and Spamfinder are brands of SfbIT GmbH, which has a well-established presence in Germany and is planning sustained growth across the UK and Europe. We are acutely aware of European IT market needs, and look at the building of channels and the role of distributors in an innovative way.

REDDOXX focuses on providing decisive benefits for resellers as well as end-users. The company places great emphasis on reducing vendor service support systems by giving distributors high-level product training, providing them with the capacity to serve as an effective first and second line of product support and professional consulting.

This policy has clear benefits for vendors, distributors and customers alike. Not only do customers have direct access to timely local product support, but the need for vendors to set up traditional, dedicated support networks is reduced or even removed. By equipping distributors with the tools to efficiently manage local customer support, they also have control of a key value-added service an advantageous and important competitive factor in todays distribution and reseller market.

REDDOXX recognises that an effective business case and state-of-the-art technology are fundamental to developing channel networks. E-mail is a well-established business tool companies are now dependent on fast and safe communication by e-mail, and there is a genuine need for organisations to protect themselves from spam, viruses and Trojans. Similarly, having an effective e-mail archiving system in place to ensure the availability of critical information is business common sense for all enterprises.

REDDOXX is dedicated to addressing both business needs, efficiently and cost-effectively. The companys integrated data storage and anti-spam MailDepot solution provides automatic archiving of e-mails and attachments, freeing space on the mail server and paving the way for faster and interruption-free e-mail correspondence. E-mails are automatically text-indexed, encrypted and compressed, without the user noticing. Using the additional security functionality, e-mails that are detected as spam can be archived but are indexed at a lower priority for searches. REDDOXX solutions are installed between the firewall and the e-mail server, and are unique in that they use patented CISS technology to eliminate e-mails sent by spam robots.

MailDepots intuitive user interface enables the easy retrieval of e-mails by a user. E-mails can be searched for by date, sender, domain, size, subject or contents, as well as for the file format of an attachment. Even text or word fragments are sufficient for the REDDOXX search engine.

Each user is only allowed to access their stored data, ensuring data privacy. MailDepot combs through the complete data stored for a users account and makes the original e-mail available in the inbox, with minimum effort required on the part of users or the administrators.

REDDOXXs MailDepot product is available at SME-friendly prices, starting at 1,200 for 25 users. All solutions from REDDOXX can be implemented both very quickly and risk-free, with no interference to the existing e-mail server, and solutions support all SMTP mail server systems. Interested parties can sign up for a free and non-binding 14-day test phase.

At REDDOXX, we are committed to searching for, expanding and supporting the right partners for our market development. Our innovative approach to building and maintaining channel networks has clear benefits for both REDDOXX and our partners. By creating and supporting a well-trained indirect distribution channel with certified partners, the REDDOXX quality and service ethos is extended to the ultimate end-user.
