Low cost document management solution available as an upgrade for most multifunctional devices in the Muratec range.

OfficeBridge Plus 400 is available for the Muratec MFX1330 and MFX1930 multifunctionals and the F560 and MFX2030 multifunctionals can be upgraded with OfficeBridge Plus 600.

OfficeBridge Plus allows a compatible Muratec multifunctional device to operate as a powerful network solution for sharing documents between a workgroup of up to 50 users. OfficeBridge Plus provides network print, network scan, scan to e-mail, Internet fax, desktop fax and workflow management functionality all in one simple to use application.

Because OfficeBridge Plus uses a web browser interface, it is completely independent of computer operating systems and network protocols, making it easy and economical to install. The use of a familiar web browser interface also makes OfficeBridge Plus intuitive and simple to understand so users can get the benefits of OfficeBridge Plus straight away with the minimum of training.

OfficeBridge Plus is supplied for a single one-time cost, with no user licence costs or renewal charges, unlike some network fax and printing options, making OfficeBridge Plus a very cost-effective solution for document network sharing and printing.

A compatible Muratec multifunctional device becomes a powerful network colour scanner with OfficeBridge Plus. A user can scan documents to their personal OfficeBridge Plus inbox and then save the document. Documents can also be forwarded externally as an e-mail attachment.

OfficeBridge Plus can also scan directly across a network for archival purposes, generating a file in a TIFF, JPEG or PDF format, with an index file giving details of when, where and who created the document (scan to file). Users can choose from an automatic preset file name or create one manually. Network scanning allows a permanent electronic record to be made of important paper documents saving on filing space and increasing security.

For workflow management documents can be scanned into a private box for security or into public boxes for sharing. Processing rules can be set to manage documents through a workflow process making it easy and efficient. Documents can also be posted to the OfficeBridge Plus Bulletin Board function ensuring important information is shared between workgroup members with the minimum of fuss and effort.

By enabling the InfoMonitor feature of OfficeBridge Plus, users can be automatically alerted when a new document, (fax, scan or e-mail) enters their OfficeBridge Plus inbox or is posted to the workgroup bulletin board. The identity of the sender of the new document is shown on the recipients screen. InfoMonitor ensures the timely viewing of documents increasing efficiency.

OfficeBridge Plus also allows a compatible Muratec multifunctional device to be used as a central network printer eliminating the need for every workgroup user to have a personal printing device. All print functions can be checked using the OfficeBridge Plus browser interface from the users PC.

Muratecs policy of supplying low cost consumables makes costs per copy very competitive, with possible savings of up to 50 per cent against the cost of a typical office laser printer.

Commenting on the launch of OfficeBridge Plus, Stewart Carroll, Operations and Finance Manager for Muratec said, OfficeBridge Plus is a comprehensive solution for document management. It receives documents, it can send documents and it can share documents. It also allows users to scan paper-based documents direct to PC for secure storage and it allows printing of documents that workgroup users create and receive.

OfficeBridge Plus does all this for a fraction of the cost of other network document management and print solutions. And the user-friendly web browser based interface makes OfficeBridge Plus easy to install and simple to use.
