Display Technology announced in its function as UK & Ireland Master Distributor new Samsung Industrial TFT displays for improved information displays in public areas.
The Samsung LTI460WS-L01 PIDs (public information displays) comprise all advantages and characteristics of Samsung TV TFT displays and provide additional features especially for the use as POI, automation advertising or information displays. The available 40, 46 and 57 TFT displays have a more robust design than TV displays, no burn-in effect of image sticking even in permanent operation, improved sunlight readability, supports portrait mode and are have long-term availability.
The new Samsung PIDs fulfil all standards for high-end information displays in many domains of every day life: at retail, in hotels, gastronomy, local and long-distance traffic, finance or recreation sectors as well as in schools or other public facilities. Despite of their size the 40, 46 and 57 PIDs only need a low power input, have an aspect ratio of 16:9 and an excellent contrast ratio. In combination with the wide viewing angle these features provide amazing readability.
Via additional characteristics such as an improved colour temperature for better sunlight readability and a portrait mode function for image rotation the advertising or information displays at airports or train stations reach a far better display quality. Moreover test with 40,000 hours of permanent operation proved that the PIDs have no burn-in effect of freeze images. Compared with TV TFT displays the PIDs have a more robust design, ensuring consistent operation even in rough environments. All PIDs have long-term availability.
