A new company has been established to distribute the Develop range of document imaging systems in the United Kingdom. Develop Sales (UK) Ltd will be the national distributor for Develop copiers, printers, fax machines and multifunctionals from mid January 2006. Headquarters for Develop Sales (UK) Ltd is in Milton Keynes.
Develop Sales (UK) Ltd is headed by Jonathan Whitworth as Managing Director and Franco Battiloro as National Sales Director. The company has the full backing of Develop GmbH and will seek to establish a UK dealer network of about 30 reseller partners. Develop Sales (UK) Ltd will operate strictly as a distributor and will not make direct end user sales, keeping faith with reseller partners.
The company anticipates seven figure sales revenue in its first year of trading and should achieve a five per cent share of the true colour systems market (as distinguished from so called colour capable systems).
The best selling Develop ineo range extends from the entry-level ineo 16, a 16ppm (print per minute) multifunctional to the ineo 750 document imaging system with an output speed of 75ppm. The range also has the ineo+ colour printing systems including the award winning ineo+ 450. Develop Sales (UK) Ltd will hold product stocks in the UK of all systems and will provide reseller partners with full product training and sales support.
Commenting on the launch of Develop Sales (UK) Ltd, Jonathan Whitworth said, The Develop brand is widely known and respected on the continent, but has never received its due recognition in the UK because of underinvestment and lack of resources. Develop Sales (UK) will remedy this by committing fully to the brand and establishing a reseller channel which can count on full support and stock holding from us. We shall be totally focused on Develop with no other product offerings or brands to distract us. We are confident of meeting and probably exceeding our revenue and profit targets for the first years trading.
