Evolis Card Printer, the French manufacturer of plastic card printing solutions, has conquered one of the largest and most technologically advanced markets in the industry: instant over-the-counter bank card issuing in South Korea.

In the next 3 years, Evolis and its Korean partner, Samtech I&C, will install 7,000 printing and encoding systems in the agencies of the Korean banks NACF, Woori Bank, Pusan Bank and Jeju Bank.

In just 6 months, Evolis has managed to develop a specific product to reply to the various tenders launched by the Korean banks. The Pebble plastic card printer has thus become a true bank terminal capable of instantly personalising payment cards over the counter with data printing, but above all, with magnetic track or chip (contact and contact-less) encoding, and even SIM cards, which will enable the Koreans to manage their bank transactions from their mobile phones.

This contract once more demonstrates Evolis technical capability, resilience and reactivity and places the French manufacturer on a new market axis: instant bank card issuing.
