Codegate, the mobile data capture specialist, has launched m:deliver - a software solution that addresses a wide range of distribution and delivery needs. The application is designed to improve field force management and the flow of information. It bypasses the need for mobile workers to deal with vast quantities of paperwork when handling transactions at the depot, or during pick-up or delivery.
The m:deliver solution enables users to have instant access to the most up-to-date information boosting productivity whilst reducing costs and saving time. Codegates software covers a variety of logistical operations from dispatch and delivery through to asset or equipment tracking.
The solution can also manage a diverse array of events, including dispatching; recording items collected or arriving at the depot; preparing the delivery manifest; recording delivery (including proof of delivery signature); and recording vehicle-to-vehicle transfers.
m:deliver can be used on a range of hand held data capture devices, including units such as the Dolphin family of mobile computers from Hand Held Products. Two of the companys latest models are the Dolphin 7900 and the Dolphin 9500. These two devices are both feature-rich and packed with technology, and offer industry-leading levels of performance.
Some of the key features available with m:deliver include a job dispatch system; text messaging; proof of delivery; bar code and RFID scanning; time tracking; equipment, distance and fuel tracking; navigation; pre-run survey; and Service Level Agreement management.
