Tandberg Data appoints key UK sales and marketing personnel and opens a new office

Tandberg Data, the leading data storage company that manufactures tape drives, tape automation and disk sub systems, today announced the opening of a sales and marketing office in Oxford as well as the appointment of Sharon Munday as marketing manager, EMEA and Carolyn Hinxman as UK channel sales manager. This is further evidence of Tandberg Datas growing momentum in the UK.

Sharon Munday has held various marketing positions during her successful career, including six years at VERITAS (now Symantec). In her role as head of corporate marketing, EMEA she was in charge of and established the VERITAS brand across the region and helped make Backup Exec the market leading backup product. Mundays primary role will be to assist and help build marketshare in the UK, France and Nordics through the execution of effective end-user and channel marketing programmes.

"I see a massive opportunity at Tandberg Data to help take the company in anew, exciting, solutions-driven direction," said Munday. "It has the legacy of stability, but with a new suite of products that will take the disk-to-disk market by storm."

Carolyn Hinxman has over 20 years experience of the UK channel and joins Tandberg Data from ADIC where she held the role of channel sales manager for over six years. Hinxman intends to help build Tandberg Datas channel based on leading-edge products, developed by Tandberg Data.
