Belgravium & Data Teknologies Ltd Sign Joint Marketing Agreement

Mobile data integration specialist, Data Teknologies Ltd, today announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with Belgravium, a manufacturer of rugged mobile computing devices. Data Teknologies will offer Belgravium products as a key component within its mobile solutions, from September 1st 2005.

Data Teknologies Ltd was originally formed in April 2001, to maintain the supply, service and technical support for the RVSI group product range. Company personnel have extensive knowledge of bar code and data capture applications, its engineers having been within the AIDC industry for many years.

The company rapidly expanded to embrace a wider range of data capture hardware that included 1D, 2D, handheld, fixed position readers, network infrastructure and general data collection from some of the world leaders in the AIDC field. The company provides a comprehensive pre and post sale service that includes site surveys and system specification, project management and implementation, maintenance and repair, training and technical support.

Lee Wragg, Sales Director of Data Teknologies, comments The past four years has seen Data Teknologies grow steadily and sensibly. Our strategic aim is to become the leading provider and integrator of mobile computing solutions to a variety of sectors, in particular manufacturing and logistics. These sectors are still yielding a significant number of new projects and, in order to capitalise fully upon these opportunities, we have to present potential customers with World-class product offerings. We were aware of Belgraviums standing in the AIDC marketplace and, after a closer evaluation of their hardware, decided to formally offer the range as our preferred hardware solution. The quality of the product is self-evident and we are confident that, when combined with our own exceptional service, customers will be delighted with the overall data capture solution.

Belgravium manufactures a wide range of rugged mobile computing devices, incorporating both WAN and LAN technologies, that are now accessible to Data Teknologies customers. The units are IP-rated and have numerous shock-absorbing components which make them particularly well suited to harsh environments such as warehouses, industrial manufacturing environments and more demanding field-based locations. Mike Turner, Marketing Manager for Belgravium comments In the UK we have typically partnered with software houses and have few active relationships with systems integrators. One of the reasons for this is that we feel that such organisations can rarely add value to a system implementation. Most fall down on the post-sale activities and cannot match the standards that we demand on behalf of our customers. Data Teknologies are the exception to this rule. They have both the experience and resources to handle an AIDC project implementation throughout all its many and, sometimes complex, stages. They are a quality partner with whom were particularly pleased to be associated.

Wragg concludes Within a logistics or manufacturing organisation, reliable transmission of data is paramount. Data Teknologies reputation is founded upon the reliability of its solutions. We select our partners carefully because we cannot afford to compromise this vital information chain. We recognise that Belgravium has become a major player in mobile computing and believe that the partnership will prove rewarding for both companies. Our joint aim is to deliver accountable mobile computing solutions that will start to deliver business benefits for our clients from day one.
