WAKEFIELD HEALTH INFORMATICS SERVICES CHOOSE CA TO REDUCE COMPLEXITY AND DRIVE DOWN COSTS OF DATA STORAGE

Wakefield Health Informatics Services (HIS) has standardised its storage environment using CAs BrightStor range of storage management solutions.

Wakefield HIS is the IT department for 2 primary care trusts, a mental health trust and 44 general practices, totalling 4,000 end users. The existing environment contained a number of different operating systems as well as the administrative headache of the number of different licences in place. Wakefield HIS were looking for a way to reduce complexity and total cost of ownership in terms of licence renewals.

Working with public-sector licensing specialists Trustmarque Solutions, Wakefield HIS chose CAs Brightstor solutions for the ability to meet all storage requirements. Capacity-based pricing also allowed them to recognise their total storage costs over the three-year period of the Agreement. Additional servers may be added at any time without additional cost.
