CipherTrust strengthens EMEA channel

CipherTrust, Inc., the leader in messaging security, today announced plans to expand its EMEA reseller base in order to meet increasing demand for its messaging security appliances.

CipherTrust is actively recruiting new channel partners in the Middle East, South Africa, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, France and the Netherlands where it operates a two-tier channel model. New distribution partners signed to date include OnLine Distribution (United Arab Emirates), ESecure (South Africa) and SecureComm (Netherlands). CipherTrust is also expanding its European operations with new Head Office facilities in Abingdon, UK and is in the process of recruiting local channel managers in each region to provide partners with dedicated and expert sales and technical support.

In the UK CipherTrust remains firmly committed to the single-tier model reinforced most recently by signing the reseller Peapod. Having already doubled UK partners, CipherTrust aims to double its selective UK reseller base again by the end of October.

Oliver Carter, Director of Channels, CipherTrust EMEA, said: "CipherTrust's channel growth in the UK and Europe is a direct response to the increased demand for our appliance products. CipherTrust already has operations across EMEA, but we will look to expand these rapidly by increasing our channel base. The messaging security appliance market in Europe is forecast to grow strongly over the next five years becoming a $400M opportunity by 2009(1). Given the quality, reputation and our ownership of the core intellectual property that underpins our messaging security appliances we are confident that our market share will grow strongly and deliver a profitable future for our channel partners."

According to Oliver Harcourt, senior research analyst for European enterprise server solutions at IDC, "Benefits offered by appliance solutions such as ease of deployment and use, simplified management, performance benefits and lower total cost of ownership, will help drive this growth."

Harcourt adds that the strong growth in the messaging security appliance market can be accounted for by "the rise in the number, frequency and sophistication of threats, including spam, phishing, spoofing, viruses, worms, blended threats and compliance issues which messaging security solutions look to address."

CipherTrust's IronMail messaging security appliances currently protect over 10,000,000 enterprise email users with a worldwide network of over 3,000 appliances connected to our TrustedSource reputation system.
