Belgravium and Integral Mobile Data Sign Joint Marketing Agreement

Integral Mobile Data specialists in rapid Mobile Computing Applications Development, today announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with Belgravium, a manufacturer of rugged mobile computing devices. Integral Mobile Data will offer Belgravium products as a platform for its Integral m Forms Mobile Data software.

At its most fundamental, Mobile Data is the means by which businesses can communicate with employees in the field. Usually, this involves databases within the corporation being updated by employees using handheld devices which are permanently connected via a GPRS telephone signal to the corporations network.

A typical application is that of a Parking Attendant. They can look at a vehicle and create a ticket on a Pocket PC, which then uploads the ticket information to a central database which can be hundreds of miles away.

At its best, Mobile Data enables employees to spend less time at their offices and more time in the field, whilst keeping their companys information right up to date. The world is moving towards devices which employees can easily carry and which give them a huge degree of independence, yet let their company know of their whereabouts and activities. The result? Employees are happier and vital commercial data reaches management in a timely manner, providing huge competitive advantage.

Whats different about the Integral Mobile Data Belgravium Solution?
IMDs unique software model allows for the easy creation of new database applications. New forms can be created and in use within hours. Theres no need for users to wait for months for an IT department to make changes; now users themselves can create applications in a very short timeframe. IMD quote the example of a customer who required a new application and built it the same day shortly after first seeing the software.

IMDs Integral m Forms applications suite allows users to work at their handheld whether the handheld is online or not. If GPRS is available, systems can be constantly updated; if not, application data can be saved and uploaded when convenient. Many so-called mobile applications are purely web pages transmitted via GPRS to handhelds. IMDs rapid prototyping allows the quick generation of applications which require little code and which transmit only the data that has changed. With no screen re-paints, companies can save thousands of pounds in GPRS charges.

Belgravium manufactures a wide range of rugged Windows-based mobile computing devices, incorporating both WAN and LAN technologies. The units are IP-rated and have numerous shock-absorbing components which make them particularly well suited to harsh internal environments and more demanding field-based locations.

A joint commitment
Commenting on the new partnership John Foster, IMDs Sales & Marketing Director, stated : Mobile Data is the IT worlds most swiftly-emerging technology. Businesses are still coming to terms with understanding just how effectively their workforce can be deployed in the field. Combine IMDs award-winning rapid development platform with Belgraviums proven hardware range and you have an unstoppable combination for the growth of a field-based business.

Mike Turner, Belgraviums Marketing Manager, is similarly enthusiastic : Strategically Belgravium have always focused purely on hardware manufacture. Its what weve been doing for over two decades and our track record in acquiring blue chip clients suggests we do it well. The pursuance of such a strategy means that we rely upon third party software products to complete the total client solution. Our own reputation is directly influenced by our choice of software partner and clients can be assured that our criteria are stringent. We are delighted to be working with IMD because of the quality of the Integral m Forms product offering and their overall professionalism.
