Fujitsu appoints Bannerbridge to launch new printer into the channel

Fujitsu Europe Ltd have announces the launch of the DL3750+ and DL3850+, two new super fast and reliable 24-pin dot matrix printers.  In conjunction with the launch of the new printers into the channel, Fujitsu has appointed Bannerbridge as UK distributor for the DL range.  Established in 1981, Bannerbridge has a wealth of experience in selling and supporting office and special application printers, achieving printer sales revenues of circa 5m in 2004 with strong growth expected in 2005.

These new 24 wire dot matrix printers have a printing width ranging from 80 columns at 10cpi up to 163 columns at 12 cpi, they have a head life of 400 million strokes per pin, can print at up to 537 characters per second (12 cpi in high speed draft quality) and boast exceptional reliability, having a MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) of 20,000 hours.  Working at an incredibly low noise level of 49 dB(A), the printers are ideal for any office environment.

Shane Hamilton, Fujitsu product manager at Bannerbridge said: We are delighted to be working with Fujitsu on the launch of this latest addition to the DL printer range.  The build quality and reliability of the Fujitsu products are second to none and we look forward to driving sales for Fujitsu in the channel.

Fast and Versatile

The printers can easily handle multi-page continuous forms (up to five copies including the original).  The paper feed system consists of a push tractor for continuous forms and a manual single sheet feeder for individual documents.  Forms are automatically fed up to the tear-off position at the end of each job - making it ideal for rapidly printing telephone logs, security or fire alarm system information and other documentation that needs to be completed mechanically.  The DL3750+ measures only (H) 120 x (W) 415 x (D) 330 mm and the DL3850+ measures only (H)130 x (W) 570 x (D) 330 mm, these small dimensions enable the printers to fit comfortably into any working environment.

Compatible and Flexible

Both printers are ideal entry-level printers for low/medium print quantities and use proven, state of the art Fujitsu technology.  With their 50 national character sets and 19 internal fonts, they cover a broad spectrum of uses whilst their three emulation types (DPL24C+, Epson ESC/P2 and IBM XL24) mean that they are universally compatible.

Another particular plus point of the DL3750+ and DL3850+ is that they provide extremely flexible connection options.  Fujitsu offers several versions of the model, including parallel (optionally serial) as well as parallel + USB 1.1.  The parallel/USB version can also be supplied with a LAN interface on request.
