Psion Teklogix, (LSE: PON), a global provider of solutions for mobile computing, RFID and wireless data collection, and Printronix Inc. (Nasdaq: PTNX), the leading integrated supply-chain printing solutions manufacturer, today announced that Psion Teklogix is incorporating Printronix's wired and wireless RFID printing technology to its growing RFID product and services portfolio.
This new relationship will give Psion Teklogix a complete RFID offering which will include RFID hand-held devices, RFID portals, RFID printers, RFID conveyor solutions all combined with Psion Teklogix's professional services.

The line of RFID printers that Psion Teklogix will be delivering to customers includes the SmartLine RFID printer, which provides Smart Label encoding, validation and overstrike capability. It is designed on a multi-protocol platform, providing a foundation for protocol upgradeability and expansion through firmware updates. Customers who are conducting an RFID pilot can use the SmartLine Developer's Kit to test label read rates and label placements. The RFID Smart Label Applicator solution meets customers RFID compliance, in-line encoding and label application production needs.

For traditional customers leveraging bar code technology, the web-enabled Thermaline T5000 SR thermal printer is an industrial printer designed for the manufacturing and distribution environments. The printer can easily be configured to provide RFID encoding, allowing customers to easily migrate from a bar code to an RFID system without investing in new RFID printers.
The Smart Label line of RFID printers is now available globally through Psion Teklogix' sales offices.
