Mobile computing specialist, Eastern Data has appointed Reg Koster as Sales & Marketing Director as part of its plans to double its turnover within the next three years.
Reg joins from leading mobile computing hardware vendor, Intermec, where he was Business Development Manager for the Consumer Goods market. Prior to this Reg held business development roles with both Norand and Tandy GRiD. In addition to Regs understanding of mobile applications he also has particular knowledge of direct store delivery and home delivery for FMCG companies, one of Eastern Datas core markets, and has a proven track record in achieving strategic sales with blue chip companies.
The appointment has enabled Eastern Datas joint Managing Director, Andy French, to take on the role of CEO within the Eastern Data Group focusing on the companys aggressive growth plans and future acquisitions.

We were looking for someone who could take over the running of the sales team and take the business forward, as well as someone who would challenge the Board. Regs knowledge, drive and ability set him apart from all other candidates and will bring tremendous value to the organisation.

Following the appointment, the Eastern Data Group now employs 41 people, of which 17 are based in Ireland and the remainder in the UK.
