Metrologic Instruments to Provide Its Hand Held Bar Code Scanners to Wincor Nixdorf

Metrologic Instruments, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: MTLG) experts in optical image capture and processing solutions, who design, manufacture and market worldwide sophisticated imaging and bar code scanning solutions for a variety of applications today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary in Germany, Metrologic Instruments GmbH, has signed an agreement to supply Wincor Nixdorf with a range of its hand held bar code scanners.

Under the agreement, Metrologic will supply Wincor Nixdorfs EMEA Headquarters in Paderborn, Germany with the Metrologic MS9520/9540 Voyager series hand held scanners. The agreement also encompasses the sales of products to Wincor Nixdorfs Asian division based in Singapore. In addition to its Voyager series of products, Metrologic will also supply its Model IS220, which is a special scan engine developed by Metrologic for Wincor Nixdorf to integrate into their reverse vending solutions.

This relationship will provide Metrologic with the opportunity to play a significant role as a supplier for hand held scanners for Wincor Nixdorf who will work with Metrologic in selling these products throughout their subsidiaries and distributor network. Additional Metrologic products are also under consideration by Wincor Nixdorf for future integration into the range of products and solutions that they offer to their customers.
