Xiotech Corporation today launched Magnitude 3DT 1000e, an entry-level version of its award-winning Magnitude 3D networked storage family. Magnitude 3D 1000e makes it easier for smaller enterprises and departments to deploy a storage area network (SAN) by delivering clustered resilience, simplicity and
scalability at reduced cost.

Like the entire Magnitude 3D family, Magnitude 3D 1000e eliminates the need for planned downtime and the complexity often associated with SAN solutions. The solution is designed to allow IT generalists to update and adapt storage configurations in real time, during business hours, without specialised expertise.

Magnitude 3D 1000e also provides resilience and scalability that small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) find extremely attractive. Capacity and performance scale independently, enabling customers to "pay as they grow" and avoid the need for costly over-provisioning. With Magnitude 3D 1000e, Xiotech is expanding its offering to first-time SAN buyers, departments and small enterprises.
