Email security company, BlackSpider Technologies, has appointed Rachel Piert as Channel Manager. Piert will be responsible for managing existing key partners and developing new commercial partnerships.
Piert joins BlackSpider from Avaya, where she was Reseller Account Manager. Her responsibilities included promoting Avayas communications solutions to the SME market place; and growing revenue from existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities.
Prior to Avaya, Piert worked at Enterasys Networks, managing the companys distributors and partners within the UK. Her contribution to Enterasys Networks growth in the UK earned her the companys Outstanding Achievement award.
Piert brings to BlackSpider more than ten years channel experience. She comments on her appointment: BlackSpider is a rapidly growing company so its a very positive move for me. And according to IDC, 86 per cent of businesses will increase their spend on security products in 2005, so there will be lots of opportunities for building new channel relationships.
