RAID Pioneer Signs Ground-Breaking European Deal

Cutting-edge RAID storage pioneer Fibrenetix has signed a ground-breaking Europe-wide servicing deal with Kodak, enabling it to sell high technology storage subsystems to blue-chip corporations across the continent.

Jes Nagel, Danish-born MD at Fibrenetix said: This is a key move for us. We traditionally operate in the highly competitive storage market area dominated by smaller players, but now our advanced RAID technology is creating serious interest with large corporations.

These blue-chip companies want high technology but they want it competitively priced and backed by outstanding service. This new agreement with Kodak Service & Support ticks all those boxes.

In the wake of global success, a recently completed 1,000 Terabyte storage installation deal with a European power utility, and the launch of a new technical R&D facility in Dublin, the Sussex-based company is set to substantially grow its storage subsystems market through 2005.

Added Nagel: We are the market leader for cost effective storage systems and we have seen impressive growth across 17 different countries in the last 10 years but to grow the business to the next level we need to ensure the quality of our service matches the quality of our technology. This new contract achieves that. It creates a whole new dimension for Fibrenetix. This new partnership will form the bedrock of our expansion plans for 2005 and beyond and provides our customers with real added value. Kodak is a synonym for quality and reliability and its service and support record is second to none in the industry.

Colin Cooke, Business Development Manager, Kodak Service & Support EAMER (Europe, Africa and Middle East) added: We are delighted to be working closely with Fibrenetix. RAID is one of the fastest-growing elements of computer storage and this vibrant, young company has established itself as a leader in its field. It manufactures leading-edge products and enjoys an outstanding reputation for cost-efficient quality. And to all that it can now add the quality and skill sets of Kodaks world-class service and support.
